Managed SIEM & Insights Portal Proposal
Prepared for the Berks IU, on September 9, 2020
Prepared for the Berks IU, on September 9, 2020
This document outlines the details, deliverables and requirements for working with the Berks County Intermediate Unit (IU) to implement Enigma Glass (a managed SIEM/analytics solution with a custom front-end insights portal). The goal of this project is to help secure and protect the sensitive data contained within school districts that the Berks IU services.
In order to architect a solution that will scale to the needs of the Berks IU, we will start by implementing a Proof of Concept (POC) using a sample set of data from Berks IU systems. Starting with a POC will allow us to stress test the system, identify key features, and determine how much computing power we need to scale the solution for the IU's clients.
Goals
Task List
The below project roadmap serves as an estimated timeline for when when the above deliverables will be executed and completed. The majority of deliverables for this project are broken down into two week sprints.
Take stock of all Berks IU assets/nodes to be monitored
Enigma will provide a detailed SOW with deliverables, use-cases and timelines
Install any required software/resources on nodes (if needed)
Begin pulling data from decided upon sources/nodes (via APIs, agents, etc.)
Run various security analytics on the source data
Provide accounts to view POC dashboards, alerts, and other front end insights
